Andrea Love is a stop motion artist that is well versed in animation and directing. Her work has a wide range, from advertisements, to small clips to watch on YouTube. Her process is unique and her work reflects an art that is rarely used in movies now. She uses 12 frames per second, and uses physical puppets on sets that she creates herself out of fiber. I find her work very inspiring because it is a niche type of artistry or craft that gives a nostalgic feeling to the viewer. A lot of the time we are seeing drawn animation, and even claymation, but fibers being felted together to create characters isn't used as much as it should be. After seeing a few artists like Andrea Love and Brambly Hedge, who is also a felt animation, it brought a lot of influence in how I wanted to create my animation. It's very useful in how I want to create my animation, because it also shows the process of learning two new crafts, stop motion, and felting. Learning both of these simultaneous will help me grow stronger as a digital artist.
